Exciting young striker James Scott joined from Championship side Hull City on a free transfer in the January transfer window.

The 22-year-old Motherwell youth academy product and versatile attacking player joins the club on a one and half year deal following three years with the Tigers, one of which was spent back in Scotland with Hibernian where he played during Gary Caldwell's time as assistant manager at Easter Road.

Scott made his first appearances for Motherwell's under-20 side at the age of just 15 and made his senior debut for the the Well in April 2018 at Ross County, before starting his first match ten months later against Celtic.

He joined Hull in January 2020, making his debut in June of the same year after an injury, scoring his first goal for the club in his second appearance. He won League One with the Tigers in the 2020/21 campaign - his second at the club.

For the 2021/22 season, Scott joined Hibs on loan and scored a hat trick on his final appearance for the club at the end of the campaign.
