Car dealership helping to drive City forward

The long-term partnership between Exeter City Football Club and Vospers was extended this week as a new 12-month contract was signed.

The partnership has now run for over ten years with Vospers being a club sponsor for the last four. As part of the deal, Vospers handed over two vehicles to the club – a brand new Ford Fiesta and a Ford Transit – both vehicles branded with the new City crest and Vospers logos ensuring they are eye-catching out on the road.

Family owned Vospers have a strong business ethos of supporting the local community. The partnership, gives Vospers a strong presence at St James Park on matchdays, with several eye-catching advertising boards around the pitch’s perimeter, vehicle product placement in Red Square and the back-page advert in ‘The Grecian’ the matchday programme as well as support through the website and social media channels.

Peter Vosper said: “We are delighted to offer the continued sponsorship to Exeter City Football Club. The brand new Ford Transit Custom van will be used by the Estates manager Clive Pring and his team to safely carry out their ground work on the pitch and at Cliff Hill Training Ground.

“The car we’ve provided to the Club, a Ford Fiesta, will enable Football in the Community charity’s work supporting the Club’s efforts with community work. Both vehicles are supporting a new and trendy look including the new Club crest – be sure to look out for them in and around the streets of Exeter.”

Clive Pring said: “I’d like to thank Vospers for their continued support of our work at the club, and for making sure that we have a suitable vehicle that can handle the demands of grounds keeping.“

FITC positively touch the lives of over 50,000 young people each year through providing multi-sports coaching in schools, inspiring physical activity, education and health and wellbeing programmes and courses.

Ben Watson, FITC senior football development officer said: “The new Fiesta is paramount to ensuring that we are able to remain active in the community and be recognisable out on the road. It is inspiring that Vospers, a family owned local business recognise the importance of our work”

Speaking about the long-term relationship, Mark Jenkins, head of commercial at Exeter City Football Club said: “We are delighted to be closely associated with such a strong and well respected local family business and brand. The vehicles provided help both our groundsmen and FITC charity to go about their daily work safely and in style”
