City to get started with visit to the Bloomfield Stadium
AFTER MUCH anticipation and build-up, the Football League fixtures were finally revealed at 9am today – and Exeter City’s EFL Sky Bet League 2 campaign will kick off with an away trip to recently-relegated Blackpool at the Bloomfield Stadium.Gary Bowyer will take charge of his first League 2 match as Tangarines boss on Saturday 6th August (kick-off 3pm), while Grecians manager Paul Tisdale begins his eleventh campaign with City.
The opening weekend is followed in quick succession by the first round of the EFL Cup. The Grecians will know their opponents this afternoon at 1pm, with the draw live on Facebook, in conjunction with Sky Sports.
City’s first home match of the campaign comes on the following Saturday (13th August) as we square up against Hartlepool United at St James Park
