Following last Thursday’s friendly at Taunton Town where smoke pellets were let-off in the stand housing the Exeter City supporters, chairman Julian Tagg and fans group The Red Legion have come together to issue the following statement.
Both Exeter City and The Red Legion wholeheartedly disapprove of smoke pellets or flares being let-off inside football grounds. The club and The Red Legion want to collectively underline that they do not want to be associated with such behaviour. Whilst a lively vocal support is welcomed, such actions will not be tolerated.
An investigation by the club into Thursday night’s incident is on-going and appropriate action will be taken against the individuals involved.
