Work parties return to St James Park
This coming Saturday and Sunday sees the long awaited comeback of the work party at St James Park.
To prepare SJP for the 2017/18 football season, the club is hosting a weekend of ‘scrape, paint, wash and scrub’ within the stadium on Saturday July 1, and Sunday July 2.
Supporters are invited to come along and join stadium manager Mark Latham to help spruce up the stadium in readiness for next season.
If you are able to please bring any of the following, please do: wire brushes, paint brushes, rubber gloves, dust sheets, buckets, brooms, dustpan and brush and cloths.
You’re guaranteed a warm welcome, and refreshments will be provided.
Speaking about the event, Mark Latham said: “This is a job that has needed doing for quite some time, but we have never had the manpower to take it on. We will be delighted to welcome plenty of volunteers to St James Park to make a difference for their club
“Every extra pair of hands will make a big difference. As a supporter-owned club it's important we get the fans involved.”

Times: 10:00am – 16:00 each day
