🚘 Travel update: Roadworks and industrial action to cause issues on Saturday

Please allow extra time to get St James Park

3 August 2018

Exeter City are advising fans to plan their travel to St James Park on Saturday in advance and to set off early, where possible, due to industrial action and possible roadworks.

There is industrial action planned on South Western Railway on Saturday, with trains between London Waterloo and Exeter cancelled.

South West Railway has confirmed it will be operating a rail replacement bus service from Honiton to Exeter St David’s stopping at all stations and operated by Stagecoach South West.

However, it will be on an approximately two-hourly frequency and is in addition to the two-hourly Salisbury to Exeter St David’s bus service calling at Gillingham, Sherborne, Yeovil Junction, Crewkerne, Axminster, Honiton and Exeter Central. Please see timetable for times of this service.

Further details can be found here.

Meanwhile there could also be disruption on the road due to closure of the inbound lane of Fore Street in Heavitree at Livery Dole.

Diversion routes are in place between Magdalen Road and Polsloe Road but congestion is expected.
