The stadium is located in the heart of Exeter with easy access by foot, bike or rail – just a half hour walk or 15-minute cycle from Exeter St Davids station, a 20-minute walk from Exeter Central station or just a couple of minutes from St James Park station, which lies on the Exeter-Exmouth line. The Stands

St James Park has undergone a £3.4million pound redevelopment project which has seen the construction of a new stand, changing rooms, covered away end, and associated facilities.

There are four stands at St James Park. The IP Office Main Stand (capacity of 2,100), the Thatchers’ Big Bank (normal capacity of just under 4000), the Stagecoach Stand (capacity of nearly 1600) and the St James Road Terrace for just over 1000 away fans.

The new stand has been named the Stagecoach Adam Stansfield Stand in honour of fans’ favourite Adam Stansfield, who died eight years ago.

It also features a heritage display which has been created thanks to a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund and the work of the Supporters’ Trust history group and the Grecian Archive, in partnership with the University of Exeter.

Both the Thatchers’ Big Bank and IP Office Main Stand have disabled bays and an access ramp, and there is a designated disabled parking area.

Away Fans

St James Park has undergone a large redevelopment which has seen a new covered away standing terrace, sponsored by Marsh Kia, which holds a little over 1,000 away fans.

Match Tickets

Most matches are not all ticket, but advance purchase is recommended, to secure cheaper prices and to avoid queues. This is especially important for the first game of the season, due to the limited capacity of the Big Bank. Tickets can be bought in advance online, from the club shop or by ringing the club on 01392 411243, and tickets purchased online can be collected from the club or posted out.

If buying tickets on the day, they can be bought with cash from the Big Bank turnstiles on the way in or from the Ticket Booth in Red Square by credit or debit card for seated tickets.

Please note that advance discount tickets can be purchased up until the day before a match. Tickets purchased on a matchday will be subject to an increase of £1 (£0.50 for U18s).

Junior Grecians Lounge

The Junior Grecians Family Zone is open and available for use by all family visitors to St James Park from 1:30pm on matchdays, and to Junior Grecians members from 12:30pm.

It has large screen TVs, Playstation consoles, table football, activities and competitions as well as a refreshments kiosk to provide a safe and comfortable environment for families to enjoy pre-match entertainment.

Club Shop

The club shop offers a variety of official Exeter City merchandise including replica shirts, training wear, hats, scarves, gifts, souvenirs, programmes and more. It is located inside the stadium and is joined with reception.

The Club Shop's opening hours are 8:30am-5pm Mon-Fri and 11am-5:30pm on matchdays.

Parking and Travel

Because parking at the stadium is extremely limited, there is no parking for supporters on stadium premises on matchdays. There is limited residential parking in the local areas, and we ask all fans to be considerate if taking this option. There are also a number of car-parks within a ten-minute walk from the stadium.

The stadium is very well served by public transport. St James Park railway station is located just behind the Stagecoach Family Stand, and it lies on the Avocet Line (served by Great Western Rail). The line runs from Exeter St David’s (five minutes’ journey) through to Exmouth, and also first stopping at Exeter Central. Both Exeter St David’s and Exeter Central link the city to most major cities in the UK.

The E, F1 and F2 bus services stop right outside St James Park (ask the driver for Old Tiverton Road). The 1, 1B, P, T and RED services run to and from the Odeon cinema on Sidwell Street a few minutes’ walk away. Additionally, the Exeter Bus Station terminus is about ten minutes’ walk from St James Park – please refer to the Stagecoach website for the services which run to the Bus Station, as well as directions to the Park from there. For full travel information, please visit our Getting Here section.
