All you need to know ahead of Saturday's trip to the Banks's Stadium

Exeter City are back on the road on Saturday as the Grecians travel to face Walsall in Sky Bet League Two.

Here is all you need to know ahead of the trip to the Bescot Stadium. 

STADIUM: BESCOT STADIUM (WS1 4SA)

Built in 1990, the Bescot Stadium - currently known as the Banks's Stadium for sponsorship reasons - replaced Walsall's old home with was named Fellow's Park. Sir Stanley Matthews opened the stadium prior to a friendly match with Aston Villa. The ground has a capacity of 11,300. Visiting supporters are housed behind one goal in the University of Wolverhampton Stand, which is complete with a licensed bar and TVs.

There are 10 pitch-level wheelchair bays in the Community Stand for away supporters.

TICKETS

Tickets are on sale for City's match against Walsall at the Bank's Stadium on Saturday, March 7. 
Tickets can be purchased in advance by clicking here. Tickets can also be purchased from the club shop until midday on Friday, March 6. Tickets can also be purchased on the day.


Ticket prices are as follows:

  • Adults: £20
  • Young persons (18-21): £16
  • Over-60s: £15
  • Under-18s: £10
  • *Family ticket: £22*

*A family ticket includes one adult and one under-18 ticket. Family tickets are also only availble to parent/grandparent and grandchild groups and are not available to siblings/cousins or freindship groups.

  • Wheelchair: Age related and carer free

GRECIAN TRAVEL

  • The coach will depart from Unit 1 nightclub at 9am for a fare of £30.

Other pick-up points include: Honiton Road park and ride (by Miller and Carter Steakhouse), junction 28 (Cullompton services). Junction 27 (Tiverton), junction 25 (Taunton.) All other pick-ups by prior arrangement.

How to buy

The easiest way to buy is online, or on your mobile using the clubs ticketing system.

BY ROAD

The stadium is located next to the M6 motorway therefore you need to take the M5 north before joining the M6 for a short time. Leave at junction nine and take the A461 towards Walsall, turn right onto the A4148 (Wallowes Lane) and right again at the second set of traffic lights. The ground will appear on your left.

BY RAIL

Regular services from Exeter St David's to Bescot Stadium railway station leave Exeter at 27 minutes past the hour and take around three and a half hours to get to the destination with a change at Birmingham New Street. The last train to return following the game leaves at 7.34pm. The station is a two-minute walk from the staduim. 

PARKING

Car parking is available at the stadium at a cost of £4 per car, £6 per minibus and £12 per coach, including disabled supporters.

The Green Zone car park is locked two hours after the final whistle; any vehicles left on the car park after this time will be locked in. Parking is also available at the nearby Bescot Stadium Railway Station for £2. There are free parking facilities for cyclists outside the Main Stand.

PUBS/FOOD

According to Walsall's official website, all supporters are welcome at the King George V pub (WS2 9BZ) and New Fullbrook (WS1 3HL) both of which are within walking distance of the ground. There is also a McDonald's at Bescot retail park, which is adjacent to the stadium. 

Supporters are reminded that only food and drink purchased from the Banks's Stadium can be consumed inside the ground. The following food and drink items are available withing the stadium

Hot Food: Chicken balti pie £3.20, steak pie £3.20, Cornish pasty £2.70, jumbo sausage roll £2.20, cheese and onion pie (V) £2.70, beefburger £3.40, cheeseburger £3.60, hotdog £3.60

Cold Food: Yorkie £1, Aero £1, Kit Kat chunky £1, crisps £1.

Drinks: Pepsi £2.20, Pepsi Max £2.20, Tango orange £2.20, water £1.20, Fruit Shoot £1.00, coffee £2.20, Tea £2.20, hot chocolate £2.20, Bovril £2.20.

Kids snack box: £3.50 for a small hotdog, Pom bears, fruit shoot and a Freddo

TOTAL DISTANCE

The total distance between the St James Park and the Banks's Stadium is 164 miles and takes around three hours to drive.
