Exeter City Women's pre-season started with a 5-0 home win against Bideford in early August, followed by a 7-0 win against Bishops Lydeard also at home. On August 20, the team travelled to Ilminster and drew 2-2. Their final pre-season game was at Callington, a team with a number of ex-City players, and won 5-3.

An eventful pre-season also included Manfy Sharpe and Emily Toogood being involved in the clubs kit launch.
