Exeter City Manager Matt Taylor reflects on a disappointing game as Exeter fall to a 2-0 defeat on the road to Crawley after Tom Parkes was sent off.
On Tom Parkes sending off Matt said, “It didn’t look a great tackle. You’re giving the ref an opportunity to send you off as a player”
On the penalty which saw Crawley get themselves ahead Matt said, “It wasn’t a penalty, you defend 1v1 in the box and there are gonna be arms involved, there was no pull. The lad was off balance and the players who were close to it said it was a dive”
Reflecting on the game, Matt added, “We got the ball into some positive areas, but I thought the delivery was very poor.”
