Exeter City Manager Matt Taylor reflects as a second penalty was all that could separate the two teams as City suffered a 2-1 defeat to promotion rivals Tranmere Rovers at Prenton Park.

Reflecting on the result, Matt said: "It's hard to take, difficult to accept, but you’ve got to do everything to get back into the game. And we lost our identity”

On the performance he said: "We were short today, but things didn’t go our way in the game."

Joel Randall had drawn the Grecians level on twenty minutes, but instantly pulled up with injury, which was a difficult blow for the Grecians. Matt provided an update on Joel, saying: "He is in pain, it wasa great goal, but it’s come at a cost. Realistically it’s his season over now.”
