Matt Taylor has given his assessment after Exeter City were held to another 2-2 draw at St James Park.
The Grecians came from behind twice thanks to goals from Matt Jay and Sam Nombe, but were unable to find a winner in a tight encounter at SJP.
"There was some good quality football on show today. There were a couple of lapses in terms of goals against us," Matt said.
"We changed the shape today, but it's two goals from outside the box so they haven't really challenged our box.
"We responded brilliantly to going behind, but we also needed to stay level for longer. Their second goal was a bit of a blow as we were creating good opportunities.
"I felt we didn't have the extra yard in our legs today."
