Pierce Sweeney has given his thoughts as Newport County make the relatively short trip to St James Park this Saturday.
"We've got to compete first and then let our game shine through and hopefully it's a good day at the Park for us," he said.
"We've been disappointed with our defending recently, and we know that it's never going to go our way all the time, but we have to improve.
"I see it is as a positive as long as we aren't losing games. I'd rather draw five than lose five.
"It's been a positive week, though. We create enough chances to win games so hopefully we will tighten up at the back and take those chances."
