Head of Coaching Brad-Lee Miller has given his thoughts after City bowed out of the FA Youth Cup with a 3-1 home defeat to Oxford United.
"It is a tough one to take and the boys are gutted," he said.
"I thought we were outstanding at times today and we feel hard done by, but that will stand them in good stead in terms of their individual development. They're a real credit to the club.
"The first half we were executing our game plan and everyone carried out their roles well, so we were disappointed to go in a goal down. Oxford were perhaps a little more clinical in the final third. We created plenty of chances but they were more clinical."
