Alex Hartridge has given his reaction as his first goal in almost three years helped City on their way to a first Third Round Carabao Cup date in 34 years.
Alex's sweetly struck effort at the second attempt put the Grecians ahead before Jordan Roberts equalised, with five perfect spot kicks confirming the win for City.
"It feels good, and it means that it's less than three years, which is what I've been telling people!" Alex said.
"I actually forgot how to celebrate, I was in shock. I really made the most of the crowd being there didn't I... I'm really happy to score and get through.
"I'm pleased with how I have started the season and I think it is testament to the work I have put in in the off-season. To be playing well in a team that is doing well anyway is really going to help my game."
