All you need to know about Friday's match

22 December 2023

Exeter City are back on the road under the Friday night lights as we head to Cambridge United for a 7.45pm kick off in EFL Sky Bet League One.

City go into the match without a league win in 12, but the mood has been lifted by a backs-to-the-wall point at Stevenage, where City came from behind with ten men.

Gary Caldwell's Thoughts

"There has been a big uplift in positivity and confidence around the training ground. It was a huge effort last week," Gary said.

"We have to build on it and use it as a springboard for bigger and better things. The desire and the hunger is the minimum - that has the be in every game. And the quality we saw for the goal in the second half can come out. I saw things I hadn't seen this season.

"Cambridge has changed slightly under the new manager - they've had good results since Neil went in and his teams are always very hard to beat. It's up to use to go with the desirre and hunger that will get us that win going into the Christmas period."
