The Foundation’s big winner this month is Andrew Critcher who collects April’s £1,000 prize!
Andrew intends to use his prize for a holiday later in the year. Andrew is an exiled supporter and is pictured following the Grecians at an away match with Rochdale a couple of seasons ago.
"I’m 79 now and live in Macclesfield. I first watched City in the mid fifties. I moved to London in the early seventies, followed by Tyneside and eventually Manchester. So I’ve followed and supported City for over 60 years. Since I left Exeter I’ve only seen one match at St James Park, I’d always thought that once the ground had been totally rebuilt I would come and see it. When I did it was home to Macclesfield in an early season match that we won 1-0, the ground looked great!
"My favourite players were, Alan Banks and Dermot Curtis. And my favourite matches, the FA cup when we beat Newcastle in the replay, I was living there at the time and went to the first match. Then getting promotion at Wembley against Cambridge and at Sheffield after we were promoted again. I’ve watched city all over the country but not for the past few years, long distance drives are no more."
