Current Volunteer Vacancies:

Academy Performance Analyst Volunteer (Cliff Hill Training Ground, Exeter)

To provide support to the Part time Academy Performance Analyst with relevant duties such as: 

  • Assisting the Academy in providing team and individual player clips
  • Gathering matchday statistics and keeping footage organised and tidy
  • Develop knowledge in performance analytics
  • Undertake any other reasonable and relevant tasks as assigned

Junior Grecian Support Volunteer (St James Park, Exeter)

Help create a safe and enjoyable environment for our young supporters on a matchday, including: 

  • Assist in pre-match activations aimed at families
  • Occasionally help with on pitch activities including our half time shootouts
  • Promote Exeter City to our younger supporters and make sure they receive a warm welcome to St James Park
  • Take note of all the valuable fan comments, suggestions and complaints and feedback to the Supporter Liaison Officer in order to improve the fan experience

Matchday Volunteer Ambassador (St James Park, Exeter)

As a Matchday Ambassador, you will be the face of our Club, which looks like: 

  • Being a positive Ambassador for the Club, ensuring every supporter (Home or Away) feels valued
  • Delivering outstanding customer service while providing information and support
  • Act as a key contact point for fans in public areas, VIP spaces, and hospitality settings
  • Help manage and enhance the entire matchday experience with a positive attitude.

Academy Fundraising/Event helper (Cliff Hill Training Ground, Exeter/offsite events)

To help plan, coordinate, and support fundraising activities and initiatives that help generate income and strengthen relationships with supporters and partners by: 

  • Supporting the organisation and delivery of activities to raise money for the academy
  • Ensure fundraising activities are carried out in line with organisational values and goals
  • Promote and implement good practice and positive engagement.

Academy Future Coach Development Scheme (Cliff Hill Training Ground, Exeter) 

Support, guide and direct talented young players to maximise their potential in sporting performance & personal excellence within the Pre-Academy or Academy. Support the delivery of relevant, innovative & enjoyable coaching practices and uphold and demonstrate the values, standards and behaviours expected both inside & outside the Club. 

  • Develop young players who aspire to play high quality football for ECFC and beyond
  • Observe and support one training session per week
  • Potential to observe and support an age group match as part of the games programme
  • Observe and support on discussions regarding player progress and IDP meetings
  • Work from an aligned & periodised coaching curriculum that is constantly reviewed
  • Observe and support how coaches combine and collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team
  • Observe and support conversations regarding trialist performance and feedback
  • Commit to the Excellent Coaching Framework, continually reflecting and developing as a practitioner

Women’s Team Matchday Tannoy Announcer (Coach Road, Newton Abbot)

To provide positive engagement on home matchdays by representing the Club by being the face and voice of matchdays: 

  • Delivery of key information to spectators and colleagues
  • Ensure positive engagement with the crowd, building excitement and supporting us in creating a great atmosphere and experience for all spectators
  • Provide pre kick off, half time and post-match safety, sponsor and club announcements
  • Provide team announcements including goals, substitutes, and extra time during play

Please note that these roles are voluntary support for Exeter City Football Club and therefore are not paid roles.
