Supporter Liaison Officer (SLO)

Richard Knight is Exeter City's Supporter Liaison Officer (SLO) and has been involved with the club since 1965. Richard was appointed SLO in October 2012 and has worked tirelessly to improve communication with supporters and to make sure all visitors, both home and away have a smooth and enjoyable visit to St James Park.

His energy and enthusiasm for all things ECFC is well known by the club’s supporters and he has volunteered in most areas of the club, from filling in as a Steward to working the Bars, running social events, and is on the Supporters’ Trust Board.

Richard is the first point of contact for supporters should they have any concerns or issues and was fundamental in taking the club’s EFL Family Excellence status from not qualifying to obtaining the prestigious Gold status in 2020, where the club was second in League Two and eighth overall out of 72 clubs in the EFL. Since 2020 the club have been awarded gold every season!

One of the standout moments of Richard’s tenure so far has been overseeing the club’s Ambassadors service, seeing it grow from strength to strength and receive high praise for the way they go above and beyond to support all visitors to the Park.
