We are recruiting a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Women’s Football to join the team on a part-time, fixed-term basis reporting into our Chair of Women’s Football.
As we prepare for the 2025/26 season we are focused on the next phase of development which includes the appointment of a CEO of Women’s football with a proven track record as a senior executive in elite women’s football and experience of progressing to tier two.

Our ownership model places our supporters and community engagement at the forefront of everything we do and we are proud to have a special place in the heart of the community. Trust ownership is reflected in our commitment to balancing on-field success with long-term sustainability and we have a remarkable track record of nurturing talent through our Academy, promoting players to the first team, and maximising their performance.
Over the last year, Exeter City Women have successfully transitioned into being fully managed by the Club, following their move from Exeter City Community Trust. The next phase of development will see the implementation of the women’s strategy for professional football with a focus on ensuring sustainability.

Role & Responsibilities
As CEO, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the implementation of the club’s new strategy and be responsible for delivering sustainable commercial growth, operational excellence, and a culture of high performance and inclusivity. Using your exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills you will line management and executive accountability for women’s staff and oversee football operations, ensuring alignment between sporting and business objectives.
Using your experience in tier two and passion for advancing women’s sport and creating lasting social impact you will drive the changes required to meet the professionalism of the women’s game at tier three with a trajectory for tier two. Commercial acumen in revenue generation and brand development is critical as you drive commercial growth through sponsorship, media rights, merchandising, and fan engagement.
