Ryan Rydel joined City on a season-long loan from Stockport County in the summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old can operate as a dynamic and creative presence as a left-wing-back and arrives in Devon for the 2025/26 season as Gary Caldwell’s third signing of the summer transfer window, after Johnly Yfeko made a permanent move and Luca Woodhouse joined last week.
Rydel has played a key role in the Hatters’ recent successes, helping the club secure promotions from both the National League and League Two. Over the course of five seasons, he made 104 appearances, contributing six goals and 14 assists.
He began his career with Fleetwood Town as a youngster and turned professional with the Lancashire side at the age of 17, and also had a short loan spell at Lancaster City.
