Exeter City can confirm that Saturday’s fixture against Burton Albion has unfortunately been postponed after discussions with the Safety Advisory Group.
Despite the extraordinary efforts of club staff, volunteers and local businesses, we are unable to complete the extensive repairs required, or to carry out the essential safety testing needed to ensure all systems are operating safely for our supporters and players.
The recent fire caused significant damage to several critical areas, including:
- mains electricity supply to the Optimising IT Adam Stansfield Stand
- the emergency backup generator serving the control room
- the PA system and fire alarm
- first aid and medical room facilities
- the control room itself
- the big screen and pitch-side perimeter boards
- stadium switching gear
- the internal network and Wi-Fi infrastructure
Repair work will continue at pace as we aim to restore the stadium to full operation as quickly as possible. Everyone at Exeter City would like to thank our incredible supporters for their unwavering backing during this difficult time. We are stronger together.
A new date for the fixture will be confirmed in due course, supporters are asked to wait until this is confrimed before asking for a refund.
If you would like a refund, please call 01392 411 243, or email: tickets@ecfc.co.uk or visit the club shop at St James Park.
