'The club remains hopeful and reasonably confident'
The club is aware that many fans will be wondering about the possibility of the club playing in Brazil in 2014 and if there has been any progress since the visit by Julian Tagg and Bruce Henderson to Rio de Janeiro in January and the coverage of the club by O Globo TV in March of this year.
The situation is that discussions continue to take place between the club’s appointed representatives and various relevant parties in Brazil.
The club remains both hopeful and reasonably confident that Exeter City will play at least one match in 2014 in the Llaranjeiras Stadium, where the original match was played in 1914, although against what club or representative team is still being discussed .
As Julian Tagg said: "While nothing is agreed or promised and probably won’t be until 2013, it is definitely worth starting to save!"
