A selection of photos from the 2-1 home defeat to Rochdale at St James Park.The Dale came to the Park looking free of any shackles and carved a few openings through lively play, often revolving around George Donnelly, Ian Henderson and Bobby Grant.
However the Grecians almost broke the deadlock when Scot Bennett laid in Jamie Cureton, whose magical turn left him with only Josh Lillis to beat - but the stopper got his angles perfect.
The Grecians did go into the interval ahead though, when Jake Gosling's cross found Cureton - and a great first touch on the chest allowed the striker room to bullet a strike beyond the Rochdale stopper.
City looked like they might tough out a win - but three minutes from full-time, Ian Henderson's cross was sent looping over the head of Artur Krysiak and dropped into the net.
And as stoppage time drew to a close, a swift counter-attack saw Donnelly and Grant combine for the latter to sweep home a cruel, cruel winner.
