Cheggers’ snaps from the opening day of the season
The Grecians triumphed on the opening day of the 2013/14 season in a much-anticipated battle against local rivals Bristol Rovers.
All the goals came after the interval – captain Danny Coles bulleted a header in for the season’s opener from a Craig Woodman corner, but Eliot Richards equalised for the Gas.
But Sam Parkin headed home an Arron Davies centre on his debut in front of the Big Bank to give the Grecians bragging rights, three points, and a perfect start to the season.
