Cane loaned out to Poole

Youngster to spend a month with the Dolphins

City youngster Jacob Jagger Cane has moved to Poole Town on a month-long loan deal.

The midfielder featured in a young Grecians contingent in midweek, knocking out Tiverton Town from the St Lukes Bowl in a 4-1 win at Ladysmead to set up a Devon Derby tie in the semi-final against Plymouth.

Now the youngster – who featured for the first team in the closing stages of City’s early-season victory against Wycombe Wanderers – joins the Dolphins at the Tatnam Ground on a temporary deal.

Cane joins Poole ahead of Saturday’s top-two clash with Southern League Division One South & West tie away to Hungerford Town.  The Crusaders currently sit at the top of the division, but Cane’s new side have five games in hand to reel in the five-point difference on the Berkshire club.  Poole have lost two and drawn two since October, and have earned victories in their other 12 league fixtures.
