City Ladies to host Parley Sports at Topsham
Exeter City Ladies will be getting their FA Women’s Cup campaign underway this Sunday (3rd November). They host Parley Sports at their home ground at Topsham Town FC in the third qualifying round, and kicks off at 1pm.
Last season, the Grecians beat Forest of Dean 9-3 at the same stage in the competition to book a place in the first round. They then defeated Brislington 7-0 at St James Park, before being undone by Swindon Town in Newton Abbot in the second round, as the Robins triumphed in a thrilling 3-2 spectacle.
Parley Sports, who currently sit second in the Southern Region Women’s Football League, have been in this year’s competition since the first qualifying round. They overcame Aldershot Town 3-0 away from home, before taking a 4-2 win at Cirencester Town in the last round.
There is the potential for extra-time and penalties if the teams can’t be separated over 90 minutes, so there will be a winner on the day by hook or by crook. Come along to Topsham and cheer the Ladies into the first round!
