Seb Stockbridge to handle affairs at Gigg Lane
Sebastian Stockbridge will be in charge at Gigg Lane on Saturday as City attempt to record a first win there since 2008.
This season is Stockbridge’s first in the Football League, and as a result he has not taken charge of any games involving either of City or Bury so far in his career in black.
He has been refereeing in the Conference for the two seasons prior to this one and last season did the second leg of the play-off final between Kidderminster and Wycombe.
This season so far, the highest level he has officiated in is the Championship, running the rule over Barnsley’s draw with Blackburn. In his 21 games this season he has shown 81 yellow cards and six reds.
