16 August 2014

New signing Cummins starts on the bench

Exeter City’s new striker Graham Cummins starts among the substitutes on the away trip to Plymouth.

Following the lifting of the PFA transfer embargo yesterday morning, Paul Tisdale completed his first piece of business in signing on-trial striker Graham Cummins in an attempt to bolster City’s attacking threat.

The much-anticipated away derby sees City’s own Liam Sercombe return to the line-up, with youngster Jordan Tillson making another start. A further change to the Grecian side that was defeated by Bournemouth mid-week sees Matt Oakley replace Arron Davies in the centre of the park.

The Pilgrims make one change to the side that went the distance with Leyton Orient on Tuesday with Lee Cox making way for Tyler Harvey.

Exeter City: Pym; Butterfield, Tillson, Bennett (c), Baldwin, Woodman; Sercombe, Oakley, Grimes; Keohane, Nichols.
Subs: Hamon, Davies, Dawson, Wheeler, Jay, Watkins, Cummins

Plymouth Argyle: McCormick; Mellor, Nelson, Hartley, McHugh; O’Connor; Alessandra, Harvey, Norburn, Banton; Reid
Subs: Bittner, Purrington, Morgan, Blizzard, Thomas, Smalley, Allen
