Discover the appeal of Alfa Romeo at Vospers

4 December 2014

Vospers Alfa Romeo showroom, located at Hennock Road East on the Marsh Barton Estate, are ready to stamp the iconic Alfa Romeo brand firmly on the South West map. To do just that, the Exeter showroom is hosting an Open Day on Saturday 6th December at their Marsh Barton site.

With a new team and an exciting range of new models the day will see an impressive line-up as around twenty old classic Alfas join the latest Alfa Romeo creations. The day will combine the heritage of Alfa, right up to modern day latest technology and Alfa DNA. There will be pre bookable ‘Pro Drives’  available in the very latest high performance Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde, and Mito Quadrifoglio Verde, as well as the opportunity to have a go on the Virtual Lap Challenge simulator, and talks from Alfa Romeo throughout the day.

The iconic brand has seen plenty of developments during 2014, not least the eagerly anticipated Alfa 4C, which will be at the showroom for the event. The Alfa Romeo 4C not only claimed the “Most Beautiful Car of the Year 2013” title at the 29th International Automobile Festival in France, it has also scooped the top award in the “Importers” sports car category in the Auto Motor und Sport “Best Cars 2014” awards. In both cases, the awards were decided by a public vote. In the process of claiming the ‘Most Beautiful Car of the Year 2013” title, the Alfa Romeo 4C claimed an astonishing 41 percent of the votes in a worldwide survey, significantly more than the BMW 4-Series, (26 percent) and Mercedes CLA (22 percent).

The new, high-performance Alfa Romeo MiTo and Giulietta 'Quadrifoglio Verde' models combine 90 years of 'Quadrifoglio Verde' heritage with the very best of Alfa Romeo's DNA. The first Alfa Romeo to bear the Quadrifoglio Verde was the 'RL' driven by Ugo Sivocci that won the Targa Florio in 1923. Since then all racing Alfa Romeo’s have carried the emblem for good luck and in the 1960’s they also began appearing on high-performance versions of road-going Alfa Romeo cars. The new ‘Quadrifoglio Verde’ versions of the MiTo and Giulietta follow in the tyre-treads of the best of these Alfa Romeo models, drawing on their heritage of performance and driving pleasure without compromising on efficiency, respect for the environment and everyday practicality.

Talking about the showroom event Adam Dickson, Vospers Alfa Romeo Sales Controller explains: “The showroom event is our opportunity to showcase Alfa. I’d like to invite anybody interested in Alfa Romeo, or even more so, if you’ve never considered buying an Alfa before, to come down to the showroom on Saturday 6th December to find out just what Alfa Romeo is all about. We have a great range of deals available and a team of knowledgeable, friendly staff ready to advise on the latest models and technology. Plus, we’re thrilled to welcome the Alfa Lovers Club, we can’t wait to fill our Marsh Barton site with Alfas of all shapes and sizes.”
