A look ahead to this weekend's trip to Sixfields

NORTHAMPTON TOWN VS EXETER CITY
SKY BET CHAMPIONSHIP
SIXFIELDS
SATURDAY 15TH AUGUST 2015
KICK-OFF: 3PM

EXETER City look to continue their flying start to the season when they visit Sixfields to take on Northampton Town on Saturday afternoon.

It will be a familiar surrounding for City attacker Alex Nicholls, who joined City from the Cobblers in January.

Northampton got their campaign under way with a good away win at newly-promoted Bristol Rovers in League 2 before convincingly beating League 1 side Blackpool in midweek to knock the Tangerines out of the Capital One Cup.

The hosts will welcome Nicky Adams back into the fold after the midfielder missed out on the cup tie in midweek due to a knock.

Exeter City fans can pay on the gate at Sixfields.

Full pricing can be found here.

EXETER CITY 0-2 NORTHAMPTON TOWN - ST JAMES PARK - JANUARY 10 2015

First-half goals from Marc Richards and John-Joe O'Toole were enough to ensure that Northampton completed a league double over Exeter City last season - they recorded a 1-0 win at Sixfields at the end of August.

Head-to-head:

Exeter City wins: 29
Northampton Town wins: 50
Draws: 32

Referee: Ross Joyce
Assistants: David Richardson, Daniel Robathan
Fourth: Andy Hendley

Paul Martin has the lowdown on Ross Joyce, who takes charge of only his second Football League match this weekend.

"I have very fond memories of my time at the club. The club, the staff, the players that were there at the time and the management were fantastic to me and I will always have fond memories of my time at Northampton." - Alex Nicholls, speaking to the Western Morning News

"We did particularly well at Sixfields a year ago, but conceded an 89th-minute goal. It was one of the lowest moments I felt last year. We will not get it all our own way this year, but we are certainly optimistic that things will be more positive for us." - Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale
