ASHFORDS SOLICITORS, which apart from being a key club partner is also the company that handles the bulk of the Grecians' legal work, has got into the spirit of Euro 2016 by taking up St James Park hospitality.The tournament, due to kick off in France on Friday June 10th, will open with hosts France meeting Romania, with England getting their campaign under way against Russia on day two. With England scheduled to play Wales in a vital group match on Thursday 16th, Ashfords have chosen the Apple Hospitality Suite at St James Park to be the venue for their large party of guests to watch the game on the many screens in the lounge.
There were a number of other companies vying to book the club’s facilities for the only afternoon kick-off for England in the qualifying group, but Ashfords were the quickest to reserve the room on the day the draw for the championships was made.
Head of Commercial Mark Jenkins said: "We have a great relationship with Ashfords and we are really looking forward to having their group with us to watch the match. It will be a superb atmosphere in the room, if previous similar occasions are anything to go by!"
All England matches will be shown live in the Centre Spot at St James Park, and the bar will be open between 5pm and 11pm to screen the games not involving the Three Lions - this can be changed or extended if any group would like to watch a particular game. Food and activities will also be available on England match-days - please contact club reception for further information.
The Final will be screened live on Sunday 10th July.
