Clinton Gets City's Mitre Goal Of The Year Nomination

Striker's goal against Stevenage comes top in fans' vote

CLINTON MORRISON’s strike against Stevenage at St James Park has been voted as Exeter City’s nomination for the Mitre Goal of the Year 2015.

Clinton’s first strike for City, an overhead kick in a match that was screened live on Sky Sports, saw off competition from second-placed David Wheeler for his second strike in that same game, while Ryan Harley’s second goal in the win over Plymouth at Home Park came third.

The 72 club-nominated goals will be whittled down to a select number (10/15).

Through our partnership with Channel 5’s Football League Tonight show fans will be able to vote for a final shortlist of 5 goals to go forward to the Awards evening on Sunday 17th April at Manchester Central.

The overall winner will then be decided on the night by attendee votes.

Thanks for all your votes!
