Loan Report: January 26th

A look at how Grecians are getting on away from St James Park

CITY FAN Exiled Grecian delivers an update on the Grecians on loan away from St James Park.

Connor Riley-Lowe
Truro City, National League South (Joined in July, six-month loan extended until the end of the season)

Truro hosted Maidenhead on Saturday in an eight-goal thriller. Truro did find themselves 3-1 up at half time and were leading 4-2 with just ten minutes to go, but David Tarpey went on to net his third and fourth goals and win his team a share of the spoils.

Connor again played the full ninety minutes and avoided criticism from boss Steve Tully, who instead said that tired legs were to blame for their late collapse. Truro have not lost in the league since mid-October.

Matt Jay became the fourth City player to join Truro on loan last Thursday and, like Jamie Reid before him, it took him very little time to get settled in. Just fourteen minutes into the game Matt had doubled Truro's lead against Maidenhead, his second debut goal this season. He was eventually substituted in the seventy-third minute for former Grecian Les Afful.
