Opposition In Focus: Luton Town

A closer look at the Hatters

THE GRECIANS travel to Kenilworth Road this weekend to take on Luton Town in the final game of the 2015/16 Sky Bet League 2 season.

Despite a valiant late run of form, City will narrowly miss out on the play-offs, but will look to end the season with a positive result in Bedfordshire.

Luton are fourteenth in the table and will be just as eager to take all three points, as a win for them would take them above City in the league standings.

The Hatters come into the game on the back of a 2-0 defeat to league champions Northampton Town last weekend.

PAUL HART JOINS LUTON COACHING STAFF

The Hatters appointed former Premier League manager Paul Hart as assistant manager to work alongside current boss Nathan Jones.

Hart takes up the role having departed his academy director position at Leeds United last month. He has also managed at Portsmouth, Queens Park Rangers and Crystal Palace, and looks set to be an important part of Nathan Jones' coaching staff next season, as he brings his forty-five years of football experience to Kenilworth Road.

PREVIOUS MEETINGS WITH CITY

The last time the two sides met, the Grecians were narrowly beaten 3-2 after they had fought back from two goals down. A free-kick from Tom Nichols and a header from Alex Nicholls proved not to be enough in the end, as Paul Benson won it in the tenth minute of stoppage-time.

When City last travelled to Kenilworth Road they themselves won 3-2, as David Wheeler notched a ninetieth-minute winner for the Grecians.
