Have your say on the EFL Whole Game Solution proposals

19 September 2016

Complete the survey to have your say on the proposed changes

The EFL have asked all clubs for their views regarding the future structure of the EFL and the FA Cup. Known as the ‘Whole Game Solution’, the proposals include a possible additional division, new teams to increase the size of the EFL, regionalisation of the bottom two divisions, a winter break and changes to FA Cup scheduling.

The EFL has said there are insufficient dates available each season to accommodate League and Cup fixtures. The proposals look to reduce the number of ELF fixtures played in order to free up midweek dates for FA Cup games.

The Club and Trust issued a joint statement in advance of next week's EFL Club meeting opposing the proposed changes in the Whole Game Solution. However, discussions will continue throughout the year with a formal proposal presented in Spring 2017 for further debate ahead of a vote at the EFL conference next June.

This gives us time to collect supporters’ views and opinions so we invite you share yours by completing this survey. We hope as many Grecians as possible will take time to answer the questions so that we can take your views into account and reflect these back to the EFL and other clubs.

You will also be welcome to discuss this further at our next Trust Fans’ Forum to be held in November 2016.

The survey closes at Noon on Wednesday 21 September 2016.

Many thanks in advance for your contributions.

Julian Tagg, Chairman and Laurence Overend, Trust Chairman
