Teignmouth Primary School get to visit training thanks to City Foundation

School pupils get chance to meet their Exeter City heroes

This year’s Exeter City Foundation 'money can’t buy' prize of watching the 1st team training was won by Karen Colllinge, (Foundation member no. 299).

Karen, who lives in Somerset, couldn’t get down to the Cliff Hill Training Ground during the week, so she suggested that we pass the prize on to a local school.

Thanks to this kind gesture, seven pupils from Teignmouth Community School had the exciting prospect of watching their Exeter City heroes training on the new 3G pitch at the Cliff Hill Training Ground. The lads were able to see first hand some of the training drills that the squad go through as well as the practice match at the end. They were hosted members of City staff, including Spurs legend and Exeter City’s director of football Steve Perryman. Steve was able to get them involved in some impromptu ball juggling.

After training was over the kids had lunch with the players and coaching staff. They were able to get autographs from their favourite players, and ask a few questions of City Manager Paul Tisdale.
All in all it was a really memorable day for the lads from Teignmouth Community School.

The Exeter City Foundation is a great deal, particularly for those who are regular supporters of the club. For just £10 per month, members are entitled to a range of prizes and, if a season ticket holder, the additional benefit of cash back or a voucher for the ECFC Shop. The City Foundation draw runs throughout the year, and overall there are sixty-seven prizes – of which sixty-four are cash prizes – all of which means that members have a GREAT chance of winning, all winners are Exeter City supporters and net proceeds go to good causes at the Club.

Further, we are running a special incentive to boost membership this season. If you sign up before Easter you will receive a £10 shop voucher which can be spent at the Exeter City Shop on City sports wear and memorabilia.

If you want to join then fill in a form at Reception, join on-line through www.ecfconline.com or contact the Foundation administrator at Richard.horne@exetercityfc.co.uk.
