Stats make good reading for Grecians

21 December 2017

Exeter City are the in-form team at home in League Two for 2017.

Stats provided by Playmaker Stats, show that the Grecians have recorded the most home wins in the calendar year of 2017 in EFL League Two (correct as of Thursday, December 21).

City have won 16 league matches at St James Park, and are level with League One's Portsmouth and Premier League giants Arsenal, for most matches won at home in the calendar year of 2017.

A second stat provided by Playmaker Stats, shows that the Grecians are again up there with the best of them, when it comes to most games scored in, in 2017.

City have scored in 39 league matches in 2017 (out of a total of 48 played) a stat that is also held by Newport County, Bradford and Fulham.

Speaking about the change in home form, City-shot stopper Christy Pym commented in a recent interview: "I think (the home form) was probably the biggest complaint from fans last season. It's something we've looked at, and have been desperate to improve and we have."

After City's 2-1 win over Stevenage, Lloyd James commented that: "If you look back at the start of last season, we had a lot of injuries and problems that way, the form picked up when we got over that period.

"We've carried on from where we left off last season, and we need to continue that"

So, why not come and see League Two's form team over the festive period, with home matches against Forest Green Rovers on Boxing Day, and Barnet on Saturday, December 30? Tickets can be purchased at: tickets.ecfc.co.uk
