City v Chelsea under-21s

All you need to know ahead of Tuesday night's Checkatrade.com Trophy clash with Chelsea under-21s

28 November 2017

Exeter City host Chelsea under-21s on Tuesday night needing a victory to progress to the knockout stages of the Checkatrade.com Trophy.

The Grecians opened up their Checkatrade.com campaign with a 3-1 loss at home to Yeovil Town but a much-improved performance at Home Park on October 3 saw City draw 2-2 with Plymouth Argyle.

City lost the penalty shootout but the point they gained means it is still possible for them to qualify for the knockout stages. They need to beat Chelsea under-21s and hope that Plymouth Argyle lose away at Yeovil Town. Added to that City need a three-goal swing in their favour.
