Exeter City will host Championship side Ipswich Town in the first round of the Carabao Cup.
The match is scheduled to take place on the week commencing Monday, August 13. The exact date, fixture time and ticket details for the game will be released in due course once the television games have been selected.

There are changes to the format of the competition this season, as extra-time has been removed from every round, apart from the Final. Matches tied at 90 minutes go straight to a penalty shoot-out. The 2019 Final will feature extra time and penalties if required.
The format of penalties will revert to the traditional format, as opposed to the recently trialled ABBA formula, which will no longer feature in EFL competitions.
