A young Exeter City supporter is raising money for the club’s CITY Community Trust charity by giving up chocolate for Lent.

Ethan Duff, who plays for his local football team in Dawlish and whose favourite City players are Troy Brown and Christy Pym, decided to give up chocolate for Lent and raise money for a health and well-being charity in Exeter at the same time.

He contacted the club and after learning all about the excellent work CITY Community Trust do in getting Exeter and the surrounding area active he set up a Just Giving page to raise money for the charity.

Pete Ferlie, health and well-being officer, for CITY Community Trust, said: “We are delighted that Ethan has chosen CITY Community Trust as his chosen charity and we are very proud of the great example he is setting for young people his age by giving up chocolate for Lent. We wish him the best of luck in his efforts between now and Easter Sunday.”
