📝 Under-23 preview: City v Norwich City

All you need to know ahead of Thursday night's 7pm kick-off at St James Park

7 November 2018

Exeter City’s under-23s return to Premier League Cup action as they welcome Norwich City to St James Park in a 7pm kick-off.

The Grecians fell to defeat away from home in their first match of the group stage against Nottingham Forest and will be targeting a better result when they welcome the Canaries.

Ahead of the match, under-23 boss Dan Green said: “In terms of the things that go throughout any performance our attitude, work and reactions are going to have to be there. We know Norwich are a good team but with those things as a basis for our performance we back ourselves.

“Up until about a week ago Matt Gill, who played here, was their coach and I know what a good job he’s done with them. Tristan (Abrahams) has come from that group so we know what type of players they like to produce.

“We’re very respectful of the job they do there and the academy that they have got, but as I’ve said, we back our academy and ourselves to be more than a match.”

The match is pay on the gate, with entry via the Stadium Way turnstiles. Only the IP Office stand will be open and there will be no advanced tickets sold.

Admission prices are as follows:

  • Adults: £5
  • Seniors/Students: £4
  • Under-18s: £2

Turnstiles will open at 6:15pm

The match is a great opportunity to see some of the bright young players from City's glowing academy.

To commemorate the centenary year since the end of World War One, Exeter City Supporters’ Club have created a display in the Centre Spot at St James Park in order to remember the 13 former players who sadly perished.

The display features each of the former players and details their time with the Grecians as well as their story.

Visit the Centre Spot to take a look at the memorial

Exeter City would like to encourage as many supporters as possible to visit the memorial display to pay their respects and learn about those who represented the Grecians a century ago.

The club shop will be open until kick-off to give you the chance to make some purchases in food time for Christmas.

Visit the club shop between 8:30am and kick-off on Thursday
