A fun way to lose some weight whilst playing football

Man v Fat football, endorsed by the FA, is a 14-week football league exclusively for the 56% of UK men who are overweight or obese. Currently, there are over 20 million overweight men in the UK, accounting for 7 out of every 10 men.

Season 3 starts on September 21 at the Cliff Hill Training Ground. Registration takes place on Friday, September 14 at St James Park.
 
Over the 14 weeks, players are put into teams and battle against each other in a local league every Friday evening. The matches are held at Exeter City's Cliff Hill Training Ground on the 4g pitch. Each six-a-side match lasts 30 minutes, and depending on pounds lost by the players, bonus points will be awarded and added to the match score.

The first season saw 65 players lose an incredible combined total of 500KG! Season two has just started with six teams, but there is still time to sign up. Find out how here.

It’s not just about the football, Man v Fat also offers participants diet and lifestyle advice, 24/7 online support as well as experienced CITY Community Trust Health and Wellbeing staff available on matchdays.

Chris Fenton, joined Man v Fat Football in January and has dropped over FIVE stone. “Man v Fat football gave me a kick up the behind and made me realise how bad my health was. In recent Man v Fat events, other participants like Chris have undergone life changing experiences. In fact, 95% of players lost weight during the 14-week period and some lost up to 70lbs.
