More than 100 Junior Grecians gathered at Exeter City’s Cliff Hill training for the annual Train with the Team day.
The event saw youngsters get the chance to meet the City first team squad, receive autographs and play alongside them in small sided games.
Coaching sessions were given to all of the children throughout the morning as they took part in passing, shooting and dribbling drills before Matt Taylor’s men finished up their first team training session and headed down to meet the young fans on the 3G pitch.
Exeter City’s first team forward Ryan Bowman was delighted to meet some of the younger supporters and says the team always enjoy engaging with the fans.
He explained: “It’s great, it’s every little boy’s dream to play football and they will want to be where we are in 10- or 15-years’ time. It makes their day; you can see smiles on their faces when the players come around. It’s brilliant and it makes you feel good, it’s all about them, their day out.
“It’s good to have these kinds of days and it brings players together with the fans. The club put on things like bouncy castles for the kids and stuff like that and they give them the chance to get autographs from the players. The kids love it and puts a smile on their faces.
The aim of the Junior Grecians is to have as much fun as possible whilst supporting Exeter City. Each year a number of EXCLUSIVE events are available, which include the popular train-with-the-team day, quizzes, parties, penalty shoot-outs and parades on the pitch at half time.
