It may be the close season but the Foundation keeps ticking away, with winners every week and every month of the year.
July’s big winner was long term supporter David Hitt, seen in the photo above with operations manager Andy Gillard during City's recent friendly with Swansea City.
David has been watching the Grecians for over 60 years and can remember the excitement of watching skilful wingers Gordon Dale and Nelson Stifle beating fullbacks with great regularity along the old Cowshed touchline.
Apart from a 20 year gap at the end of the last century when he was living away from Exeter, David has seen most home matches and has thoroughly enjoyed watching the development of many younger players.
His favourite matches include the famous trip to Old Trafford and being part of the wonderful support that day. David also remembers the 2016 EFL cup match against Brentford which saw the debut of one Ethan Ampadu, where he deservedly won the man of the match.
Regarding spending this windfall David will be giving a donation to the Trust, buying drinks for his footballing friends and putting the rest towards enjoying a family holiday later in the year.
The Exeter City Foundation is a great deal, particularly for those who are regular supporters of the club. For just £10 per month, members are entitled to a range of prizes and, if a season ticket holder, the additional benefit of cash back or a voucher for the ECFC Shop.
The City Foundation draw runs throughout the year, and overall there are sixty-seven prizes – of which sixty-four are cash prizes – all of which means that members have a GREAT chance of winning, all winners are Exeter City supporters and net proceeds go to good causes at the club.
