Alex Hartridge says he expects a tough test against Barrow when City head to south Cumbria on Saturday.
"They're a club that are new to this league afyer being promoted so they're used to winning games. They will be confident and it won't take much for them to find something," he said.
"They're here on merit and they're doing alright. Like always, it'll be a tough game.
"We won't think about the conditions too much. It is a similar surface to what we played on on Boxing Day and were prepared for at Newport. That is just lower league football at this of year."
