Exeter City skipper Jake Taylor shared the managers pride in the team as they held Newport to a draw despite being down to 9 men before half time.

“We stuck at it, we worked hard and in the end, we were disappointed not to get 3 points” Jake said.

Speaking on the team’s mindset at half time, Jake said, “It would have been easy for us to take our foot off the gas…but not this group of players”

Jake also added that despite conditions being poor, they may have assisted Exeter’s effort “the pitch is difficult to play on, and if you’re gonna play as 9 men then it’s probably the best one to play on”
