Exeter City manager Matt Taylor says his side must improve confidence after their 1-0 defeat away at Carlisle on Saturday.
An early goal from Lewis Alessandra was all that separated the two teams in Cumbria, with Bowman’s effort in the second half being called for a delayed offside.
"We conceded another poor goal in terms of our centre halves at that moment." Matt said, after calling for a stronger start from the Grecians in midweek.
Speaking on past performances, Matt said "They’ve always responded so well this season, we’ve had goals in us. Goals just seem to have dried up a little bit, maybe due to a lack of confidence."
On Bowman’s goal, Matt said “The linesman doesn’t give it straight away but I think Ryan is offside”
