📝 Match Preview: Crawley Town (H)

All you need to know ahead of Tuesday night's clash

15 March 2022

Exeter City round-off three straight home matches on Tuesday night as Crawley Town visit the Park in a 7:45pm kick-off.

The Grecians will be looking to build on Saturday's draw with Salford City and will have eyes on moving up the table, with a full round of fixtures on the night.

City's last two matches under the lights at SJP have been packed full of scenes and drama as Jack Sparkes last minute winner over Harrogate Town and an impressive performance against promotion chasing Swindon Town last week saw the Grecians pick up three points.

City come up against a Crawley Town side that were beaten 4-1 away at Port Vale on Saturday and currently sit in thirteenth place in League Two.

Once again it was incredible to see over 5,700 at the Park backing the boys, we appreciate everyones support and the noisy backing of the Grecians!

Jack Sparkes thoughts

Exeter City defender Jack Sparkes has thanked the fans for their fantastic support this season, ahead of Crawley Town under the lights on Tuesday night.

The Academy graduate made his 100th appearance for the club at Saturday's match and was delighted to reach the milestone. "It was a nice feeling." said Jack. "It's been up and down over the last couple of years having a couple tough injuries to take.

"If you had asked me when I made my debut at sixteen that I'd play over 100 matches for the club I would have taken that, so I'm really pleased to get there."

Matches with Crawley Town over the past few seasons have been tough and tight affairs and Jack is expecting the same on Tuesday. "They are a tough team to break down and are strong defensively.

"But for us the crowd has been brilliant, the fans this season have showed their numbers and supported the boys and if we are going to go up this year we will need every single one of them."
