📝 Match Preview: Swindon Town (H)

Back under the lights for the first of three consecutive home games

8 March 2022

Exeter City are back under the lights at St James Park this Tuesday as we take on Swindon Town in the first of three consecutive home games in League Two.

Following a 2-1 defeat to Mansfield on Friday, this is an opportunity for the Grecians to start another run ahead of further home matches against Salford City and Crawley Town. Swindon sit just above City inside the play-off places following their 2-1 win over Bradford on Saturday, where they scored a 96th minute penalty to win the match.

Jonathan Grounds' Thoughts

"It was disappointing on Friday," he said. "But this is an opportunity for us now.

"It's going to be a tough game, but these are the games we want to play in. Hopefully we can get a lot of supporters in there, like we did away at Swindon. We have to try and carry that on.

"We've got a lot of games in March and we all need to be ready. There's been times recently when results have gone our way so we have to try and capitalise on that.

"You feel the support at home games, it's different. The Big Bank really get behind us and spur the team on."
